Help creating a packing list

Your Packing List is an inventory of the contents of your consignment. It includes information required for international customs, such as the size and number of your parcels, and an itemised breakdown of your consignment contents.

We will automatically generate your Packing List when you place your order, based on the information you provide, unless you opt to use your own. Below is a standard Packing List template – hover over the fields for more details about the information required.

PLEASE NOTE: Packing Lists / Customs Invoices are now required for UK-EU shipments. However, there are additional requirements to those specified below, including country of origin notice and receiver EORI for business-to-business shipments. Please see our Brexit page for more details.

Barcode The barcode is used to identify your order at various stages of its journey, including check-in at the depot. It is also used to update your tracking information.

Delivery AddressThe address your consignment is being delivered to. Contact details are required for the receiver so that customs can get in touch if necessary, as the receiver will usually be the one to pay any customs duties.

Consignment Summary:

Consignment Summary A general description of your entire consignment. There is a 50-character limit for this – more specific descriptions will be required for each item (see Description of Goods).

Tax ID:

Tax ID Some countries, such as Brazil, require the Tax ID of the receiver, though it may be referred to by another name. This may apply to businesses or to private individuals.

Reason for Export:

Reason For Export Is your consignment a product, a gift, a sample, a return, a repair or intercompany data?

EORI Number:

EORI Number The EORI (Economic Operator Registration and Identification) Number is required by all commercial shippers who are sending goods into or out of the European Union.

VAT Number A VAT number may be required by commercial shippers.

Air Waybill:

Air Waybill Your air waybill, also known as your shipping label, is a document with information about your shipment that is normally attached to your parcel. This is a recommended field to make it easier for carriers to identify the shipment. If we’re creating a Packing List for you, it will be added automatically.

Freight Cost:

Freight Cost The cost of your shipment. This is required for some destinations. If we’re creating a Packing List for you, it will be added automatically.

	Total:	Total Value for Customs The overall consignment value will be the total value of all items in your consignment. This should match the value stated on your Air Waybill.

C) I have declared all ELECTRICAL ITEMS on the packing list.
