FedEx and TNT announced last week that one-day transit times are now available for parcel shipments to selected European destinations with TNT Economy Express.

The new transit time covers 200,000 postal codes across 17 countries.

“In an increasingly competitive trading landscape, businesses are looking to their shipping providers to offer speed, coverage and reliability to help them stay ahead,” said Bert Nappier, president of FedEx Express Europe and CEO of TNT.

“The enhancement of TNT Economy Express gives that opportunity to both TNT and FedEx Express customers across Europe as the integration delivers the power of our unique combined service portfolio.”

FedEx acquired TNT Express in 2016. In February the company announced that it would be using TNT’s European road network to improve the efficiency of its intra-Europe economy shipments.

TNT Economy Express is TNT’s road service and is the cheaper alternative to their TNT Express service by air, which is usually faster. Shippers can send parcels up to 70kg with the service, and pallets up to 1000kg to European destinations.

TNT services are suitable for business-to-business shipments. TNT Economy Express provides day-definite scheduled delivery across Europe and the rest of the world.

You can get reduced rates for TNT Economy Express when you book through Transglobal Express. Use TNT’s transit time calculator for precise delivery times between postcodes.
