UPS has recently announced that Kiala locations situated in Belgium will be rebranded as UPS Access Points. This decision comes as part of UPS’s continuing efforts to integrate into the Kiala network and therefore being able to offer convenience to online retailers and consumers in Belgium.

The partnership between UPS Access Point and the Kiala network allows consumers to collect their shipments at their own convenience. Consumers are also able to arrange the reschedule of their deliveries, or reroute their shipment to an alternative address. Currently more than 14 million consumers throughout 16 countries already use the service.

Karl Haberkorn, Managing Director of UPS Belgium ad Luxemburg, has said: “These additional services address the results of our sustainability efforts by reducing the number of return trips a driver needs to make to an address, which lowers carbon emissions.”

UPS partnered up with Kiala in February of 2012. Kiala has now been introduced under the name of UPS Access Point in more than 13,000 locations in 9 European markets including France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Spain. There are plans in place to expand to 20,000 locations by the end of 2015.
