UPS has announced it is to add three new UPS training centres in Dallas, Phoenix, and Portland, Ore within the USA. The new training centres will provide UPS drivers with experiential training. The training will see the UPS drivers being shown how the methods work, with them then being able to practice their newly found skills in a realistic situation. The programme will use a combination of 3D computer simulations, webcast learning modules and traditional classroom based instruction.

Anne Schwartz, UPS Vice President of Global Leadership an Talent Development, has said: “This is an investment in our workforce that we know pays dividends. UPS…trains our drivers to be safer, more efficient and, ultimately, to give better service to our customers.”

Schwartz also added: “Our new drivers tell us they are more confident and better prepared to serve our customers after attending training.”
