TNT is to improve its services within Europe by constructing a new international depot in Eindhoven, Netherlands as well as the introduction of air services to Hanover, Germany. Both come as part of the company’s strategy to invest in its core European network to enhance and improve upon operational efficiency and service quality.

The parcel delivery company has replaced its existing rented facility in Eindhoven with a new 6,350 square meter depot with completion expected in June of next year. The new depot will feature modernised sorting and loading equipment and over 90 loading bays for its vehicles.

Working conditions are set to improve for the 250 members of staff, as well as improvements to daily productivity. The depot will enhance TNT’s ability to handle and process an increased volume of parcels and freight across north-western Europe, serving customers in areas such as healthcare and high-tech particularly well.

The expansion is also expanding services to Germany where TNT will offer five weekly flights connecting to the country’s main international hub in Liege, Belgium.

The start of air services to Hanover is not a first for TNT. The company has been active within the German city since 2012 when it moved its local offices and road transit hub to the airport grounds.
