Transit Times
Transit times are estimates based on deliveries between major gateway cities and vary between services.
When you get a quote on our website, the estimated transit time will be displayed for each quoted service.
If your delivery destination is classed as remote or ‘out of area’ (i.e. it’s hard to reach), it may take slightly longer to deliver.
Transit times cannot always be guaranteed due to factors such as adverse weather conditions, global events and potential customs delays, all of which are outside carriers’ control.
However, carriers will always endeavour to meet their targets for timely delivery, and we enjoy a very high success rate for shipments delivered on time.
Days of operation
All transit time estimates are based on the number of working days it takes to deliver your parcel. In most countries this is Monday to Friday and excludes weekends and bank holidays.
Specifically designated Saturday services are the exception to this rule.

Express, economy and super economy
Our services can be divided into three broad categories: express, economy and super economy.
Express services are the fastest available. Next day services are available for deliveries within the UK and for destinations across Europe and North America. Shipments to other destinations may take 2-3 working days.
Economy services generally take one or two additional days but are available at a lower price.
Super economy services are extra low cost services that may take up to a week or more. These services are usually what we refer to as “mail services”, in that they are fulfilled last mile by the destination country’s designated postal operator.

Services operating via our depot
We have a wide range of services for which carriers collect from our depot directly, with collection from your door available as an add-on.
Collections made by Transglobal (TG Courier) will not add to the overall transit time, as your parcel will be delivered to our depot on the same day. For express services, it will be despatched from our depot on the same day, too.
Collections made by DHL Parcel UK, DPD or UPS will add 1 working day to the overall transit time, to allow for overnight delivery to our depot.
Transit time calculators
Some of the major carriers offer transit time calculators that may be able to give you a more precise transit time estimate based on your collection and delivery postcodes.
This may be useful if you live far from gateway cities or in hard-to-reach areas. However, for the most part these estimates will not be any different from the estimate provided in your quote.
Delivery notifications
Our services are fully tracked so you can follow your shipment’s progress and know when to expect its arrival.
Most carriers will also issue an alert to the recipient on the day of delivery, if their contact details have been provided.
